Inspiration

Inspired by Elon Musk:
My Journey, Side by Side

Two very different starting points โ€” a village in Haryana and Pretoria โ€” and one shared belief: you can start from zero, again and again, and build something big. Here's my story next to his.

My journey

From Bhuna to Burj

The milestones that shaped me.

1987

Born in Bhuna, Haryana

A small village in Fatehabad, in a home of two government school teachers โ€” books were our wealth.

SCHOOL

88.6% in Class 10

A district scholarship topper earlier, and a strong Class 10 result that opened the next door.

AGE 17

eBiz

Launched my first internet venture while still a student.

2004 โ€“ 2008

NIT Kurukshetra

Engineering degree โ€” and, at 19, my first registered company, Rigitech Solutions.

2011 โ€“ 2014

FMS Delhi

Executive MBA at the Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi.

2016

RINE Consulting

Founded my real estate consultancy on 1 January 2016.

DEC 2016

VR Infobuild

Built a 150-person sales team in India.

2018 ยท AGE 30

Canada โ€” restart from zero

Moved via Express Entry to Brampton and started again: drove Uber and worked in a kitchen while studying for my real estate licence.

2019

RE/MAX

Built Team RINE to around 20 people.

2021

eXp Realty

Moved the team to eXp Realty and was recognised by eXp Realty Canada.

JAN 2023

One-way to Dubai

Moved to Dubai and became a 50% partner in the Investors Clinic Dubai branch.

JAN 2024 โ†’ AUG 2025

Dugasta

Joined as Sales Director, built the sales organisation from scratch, and became Chief Sales Officer.

NOW

Founder, Startup Roof

Helping UAE founders build โ€” and writing my autobiography, Bhuna to Burj.

Common ground

What I share with Elon

๐ŸŒ

Moving countries to chase a bigger game

Both of us crossed continents โ€” and both of us passed through Canada.

๐Ÿš€

Starting young

Building companies before most people finish college.

๐Ÿ’ฏ

All-in bets

When the numbers add up, commit fully.

๐Ÿ”

Restarting from zero

Comfort is never the reason to stop.

๐Ÿค–

Betting on AI

Using technology to do more with fewer, sharper people.

โฑ๏ธ

Urgency

Clear deadlines turn plans into results.

Learning

What I'm learning from him

Focus on one huge mission.Elon picks a mission bigger than himself and lets everything else serve it.

I've worn many hats โ€” engineer, MBA, film producer, sales leader, founder. The lesson I'm taking from Elon is to channel all of that into one huge mission: helping founders in the UAE build world-class companies through Startup Roof, while leading sales at Dugasta at the highest level. Fewer, bigger bets โ€” with full energy behind them.
